The Cybertruck's Luxe Package Is Gone — Correcting What Older Pages Still Claim

In February 2026 Tesla launched its cheapest-ever Cybertruck at $59,990 (AWD) and cut the Cyberbeast from $114,990 to $99,990, against a backdrop of Cybertruck sales falling 48% in 2025 — 20,237 units, down from 38,965. Somewhere in that repricing, the Luxe Package — which had bundled FSD (Supervised) and free Supercharging — was discontinued.

What a Cybertruck buyer gets today, with a referral

The referral program itself hasn't moved: it still applies a three-month FSD (Supervised) trial, worth about $300, to Cybertruck Premium AWD and Cyberbeast trims when the referral link is opened before you configure. That's a separate mechanic from whatever a specific Foundation Series unit's window sticker says about a now-discontinued Luxe bundle — those bundled perks are gone regardless of whether a referral is involved.

Why the entry trim needs a closer look

The reported $59,990 launch model is described simply as "AWD." Our own current-status page has long noted that the Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck — as opposed to the separately named Premium AWD — is excluded from the referral trial; only Premium AWD and Cyberbeast qualify. We can't confirm from this reporting alone whether the new $59,990 entry trim is that same excluded Dual Motor AWD configuration or a differently specified Premium AWD at a new price point. If you're shopping the cheapest Cybertruck specifically for the referral trial, confirm the exact trim name in Tesla's own configurator before assuming the FSD trial applies — don't assume "AWD" and "Premium AWD" are interchangeable.

How to settle the trim question yourself

We can't resolve that ambiguity from reporting, but you can resolve it for your own order in one place. Referral eligibility is defined by trim name, not by price point — so the string that matters is the one Tesla itself uses for the configuration you are looking at, in the configurator and then on the order agreement. "AWD" at $59,990 in a news story is shorthand; "Premium AWD" and "Dual Motor AWD" are different products with different eligibility, and no price tells you which one you have.

Which points at the structural reason these errors keep happening. "The referral applies to Cybertruck" is a trim-level claim dressed as a model-level one. Reporting collapses trims into model names because model names are what readers search for, and a guide that inherits that shorthand then states something broader than the programme actually says. If you only take one habit from this page: whenever a claim names a model, check whether the underlying rule names a trim.

Three different things a Cybertruck listing can be telling you

A buyer looking at a specific inventory car is reading three separate claims that arrive on the same screen and expire on different schedules. Keeping them apart is most of the work:

• The referral benefit — programme-level, trim-gated, and verified in your own order summary before payment. Nothing about a particular unit changes it.
• That unit's own included perks — per-car, attached to that VIN, and stated on that listing. This is where a Foundation Series car's three months of FSD and three months of Supercharging live: real, but a property of the car, not of the programme.
• Discontinued packages that still appear in guides — the Luxe bundle above. These verify nowhere, because there is nothing left to verify against.

The order of reliability runs in that same sequence: what your order summary shows, then what the listing for your specific car shows, then — nothing. A perk that appears only in third-party write-ups and in neither of the first two places is not a perk you are getting.

What hasn't changed regardless of trim

The order-first rule is the same as everywhere else in this program: open the link, then configure. The $250 referrer reward is unaffected by any of this repricing. And Model S and Model X still earn nothing from a referral — that removal, from March 2026, is unrelated to the Cybertruck changes described here.
